My Introduction To Phoenix, AZ

Dear Arizona residents,

Hello, my name is Kendra Muldbakken. I recently moved to Cave Creek, AZ after deciding to leave my home town in Temecula, CA. I am currently pursuing a career running my own top tier lesson program based out of the North Scottsdale and Cave Creek area. I am interested in building my program around the Arabian horse industry after developing a deep appreciation and understanding of the breed over the years.

I discovered my gift for teaching while running a distinguished lesson program for Green Acres Ranch Inc. where I taught in depth horsemanship and riding curriculum.  I make a great instructor and mentor due to my experience and enthusiasm for this particular role. I spent the last five years refining the Green Acres lesson program which has provided me with exceptional hands-on experience cultivating high quality equestrians that have a comprehensive understanding of horses in and out of the saddle. My program focused on understanding the horse as a whole; riding being one small piece to the puzzle. I’m confident I can apply these same practices to build a sought-after lesson program that produces well rounded equestrians that are respected across all fields of today's horse industry.

Although I have learned a lot in my recent endeavors, my background with horses goes far beyond my involvement at Green Acres Ranch. I started working with Arabians consistently at the age of six and over the years have developed many connections in the equine industry. I even went as far as to earn a degree in Equine Science while working along side the Al-Marah Arabian horses at the University of Arizona in Tucson. I’m confident I can use these experiences to benefit your development as a rider and horsemen.

If your interested in growing your horsemanship and riding abilities I would love to welcome you to the May Born Arabians family!

Sincerely,

MBA's Philosophies & Goals

Safety First

Technique & Fundamentals

The Horse As a Whole

Fun & Fufillment

Life Long Love

Horseback riding is an inherently dangerous sport. In order to mitigate risk as much as possible we adhere to strict safety measures for all individuals that are on property with horses. A primary portion of student's lessons are on "Horse Sense & Safety". From day one students are learning awareness of their actions and how they affect the horse's behavior. All student's are required to build good habits that keep them out of harms way if accidents where to occur. Our number one goal is keep our students, staff, and horses in a safe and controlled environment.

We strongly believe there are no short cuts to developing a strong and capable rider. That is why we use a leveling system based on mastery of skills, not time in the saddle. This forces all students to use proper technique and gain a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of riding. This type of foundation is imperative to student's safety and success when attempting more challenging maneuvers later on in their riding careers.

Riding is a very small portion of the time and effort it takes to understand a horse. We believe learning about the care and management of a horse creates a more comprehensive and well rounded rider. That is why we also teach classes on horsemanship that cover topics such as anatomy, health care, ground handling, tack, confirmation, horse sense/safety, nutrition, biomechanics, and more!

The time spent with a horse is meant to be enjoyed. We want all our students to feel connected with their four legged team mate and have fun while at the barn. We also want our students to feel like they have accomplished something after every visit. Weather they learned a difficult skill, took pride in the care they gave to their horse, or just appreciated the work out they got in for the day; we want all students to feel fulfilled after their time spent with May Born Arabians.

Many lesson programs have a goal to introduce new people to the world of horses; but we want to take it a step further. May Born Arabians wants to take that initial interest and cultivate it into a life long love for horses. After putting in the hard work and dedication to graduate from our program we hope that our students leave us and go on to become knowledgeable and committed participants in the horse industry supporting all breeds and disciplines.
